I spent more time cleaning the fridge and defrosting the ice on the coils and the drain tube that anything else. Phillips screw driver to remove 3 screws, a straight slot to pry the cover off and the hair dryer to defrost the back and the drain hole. Read More... Michael B Garden Grove , CA July 27, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF265ABBP/XAA-0000 Error code r 1 c on samsung rf265ab This was an easy fix, if one knows how to use the self diagnostics. The error code points to the suspect part malfunctioning. I replaced the thermister, and turned the appliance back on. After a 3 minute pause, I ran the self check again, and there were no more errors detected. Problem solved. Also, it does help if one knows how to put the refrigerator into manual defrost, as this will help to speed up the time needed to safely remove the panel covering the evaporator coils. Read More...
