How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5577180 / DC34-00024B Washer Door Lock Assembly

Purchased part # DC34-00024B and replaced it! This was a SIMPLE FIX and there are videos on you tube to show how to do it. Took me less than 10min!!! Do not pay a repair person to do this for you.. it is a breeze. 

I ordered the part appliance parts pro. The part was there the next day. Watched the video, provided from appliance part pro. For the installation of the part. Simple fix. All that was needed was a Phillips screwdriver, I did however use a spoon handle to remove and replace the band around the rubber boot to insure I didn't tear or cut the boot. 

I went onto AppliancePartsPros.com and actually found a video that showed exactly what was wrong with my washer and showed me how to easily fix it. The part came in a matter of days and the actual repair took mere minutes. 

MY OLD SWITCH WAS CRACKED AND NOT LOCKING DOOR. REMOVED SWITCH AND THE PLASTIC HOUSING WAS BROKE. PURCHASED THIS REPLACEMENT. IT WAS PERFECT MATCH AND SCREWED RIGHT IN. 15 MIN JOB AND IT IS WORKING GREAT. THANKS APPLIANCE PARTS PROS!!!

This is a Samsung WF331ANV front load washer. I ordered the door switch assembly and installed it in 5 minutes.washerworks fine now. youtube video shows exactlyhow to do the repair. Can be completed from front via door gasket.
