How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4580056 / DE34-00330C Microwave Touch Control Membrane Switch

Replaced "Membrane switch" 

I removed the front control pane, removed all wire harnesses from the PCB and removed the membrane switch. I recommend using a hair dryer to help remove old keypad membrane. Helps it come off clean with no residue. 

Replace membrane. Problem is with the ribbon wire, where it connects to control board. 

"short error" replacing the keypad seems to have fixed it. It's logical that over time the plastic in the keypad would break down and the space between contacts gets smaller. It has been a week with the unit on and working fine. 

Replace new control panel. Work very well. Also, it is pretty easy to fix. 

Replaced switch membrane smh9187b 

Replaced the touch pad with the part supplied by your company. Less than 1/2 hour of work and works great! Make sure you heat the old touch pad membrane with a hair dryer and it will peel right off. 

Ordered the replacement touchpad membrane from AppliancePartsPros.com. It arrived within 3 or 4 days. I got some idea of how to replace the membrane from YouTube. Total time for replacement was no more than 30 minutes. Microwave works like new. 

Installed new membrane switch, so far fixed the problem…. 

Replaced touch pad with a new one after removing old pad and scraping off old glue.
