How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009128 / WP40113601 Drum Roller Axle

Looked up my dryer model and Google brought me here. Watched the video on how to repair it and being a handy-man I thought I'd open it up and take a look. Sure enough, 1 drum roller support was worn out. I ordered both roller supports (if one is bad, the other's not far behind), both drum roller axles, noticed that the dryer glide felt pads were missing, so I ordered those along with the drum glides, and figured since the dryer is 12 years old I might as well put a new belt on it, too. I placed the order after 5PM on Monday and my parts arrived Wednesday. Replacing the parts took about half an hour, and now it sounds like it did when it was new!! Thanks Appliance Parts Pros for having such a great instructional video and for prompt delivery! I will definitely order from you again when I need parts for my appliances! 

Replaced both of them and noticed the guides were worn so i replaced them also, while i was in there i replaced the belt also. 

New drum support rollers and roller axle.Most of the repair time was spent cleaning lint and dust from inside cabinet housing and ductwork. Actual replacement of parts didn't take long at all. 

Ordered new axle and installed it part came next day!

I watched the short video on your website which was tremendous and it made the repair very easy 

After viewing your repair video, it was a snap to replace the worn out items. It took more time to clean the chassis and associated parts, then it did to do the actual repair. 

Replaced both drum rollers, drum roller axles, belt, belt tensioner, and both gliders. The belt tensioner replacement part had an offset in the arm but the original part's arm was straight. The pulley portion was wider on the replacement which seemed to make up for the difference, but I'll be checking in a few days for belt wear to verify that the belt isn't rubbing excessively. 

With rollers, bracket and belt replacement 

Replaced roller, axle, & washer. Reused Snap ring, but ordered it just in case. Probably only needed the roller, but replaced axle and washer to ensure I didn't have to do it again.
