How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5956100 / W10712394 Adjuster Kit

With the revised adjuster kit that I purchased from your website. 

We ordered the adjuster kit and replaced the hardware on the sides of the existing top rack. It took less than a half hour to fix and the rack works great now. We thought we might have to buy a new dishwasher and then we Googled and discovered this kit. Easy to install and inexpensive fix! 

Ordered adjuster kit from AppliancePartsPros.com.. 

Ordered the part.. it didn’t look like the old part.. realized it’s better than the old one.. no instructions..15 min I figured it out.. The Wife is Happy!! Priceless!! 

Purchased the adusuter kit replacement parts from AppliancePartsPros.com . New parts were much better made and easier to install than removing the old part. watched YouTube video to install. Installed in 10 minutes first side and 6 min second. Cost $48. If we would have used a repair service would hav cost over 300. $100 just to come out to assess. 

This kit contains better wheels assemblies, with metal and screws vs plastic and tabs. The top rack feels much sturdier now. I put a piece of wire through the end of each track to keep the top rack from pulling all the way out and falling vs buying new endcaps. 

My repair job was a piece of cake! The video was very instructive and the parts were very well made out of metal, so the repair should last a long time. It was very satisfying to be able to repair my dishwasher so easily. Thanks! 

The hardest part was finding a replacement for an obsolete part number printed on the old completely plastic adjusters. The axle for the racks rollers were all broken. The replacement part was mostly metal and looked quite different even though it was cross referenced clearly. Just didn't look right to me even though it was the correct part. I easily replaced it after taking one off and just putting the replacement back on. I took one off at a time so i could look at how the old one was attached bdfore i put it on. Then I replace the other one. The dishwasher is back in service and working well. 

Ordered a replacement part kit. Watched the video, didn't look like my unit. When the parts arrived, they didn't look like old parts - some metal instead of plastic, Took old parts off. Pondered for a while, and considered calling. Then figured out how to fit new parts to substitute for old ones. Worked! Would have been much simpler and easier if a descriptive sheet had been included showing how to substitute new very different parts for the old ones. 

The how to video shown on the part’s web page explained the procedure and made the repair very easy.
