How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5956100 / W10712394 Adjuster Kit

With the video link, it was very easy to follow. Nice instruction and the replacement Adjuster kit seems better designed than the original 

Although my existing assembly looked different (it was all plastic), I entered my Kenmore Elite into the "find your part " search and had faith in the result that this was the adjuster kit I needed. I had to figure out how to get the old one off, because it was older and different than the video, but was able to perfectly follow the video to install the new one. The only caution I would give is to make sure you place the new adjuster arms and housing into the right "column" opening on the rack. It was great to do it myself and save the cost and hassle of a repair call. 

I ordered the Upper Dishrack Adjuster Kit and it arrived within 24 hours. Following the instruction video, I removed the old adjuster arm. This took about 20 minutes because my appliance was so old that the adjuster was different than pictured in the video. After figuring that out, the repair video was easy to follow, and took about another 20 minutes to replace both sides. The only tools needed were common screwdrivers. Now it works just fine!

Looked up the repair and found AppliancePartsPros.com which had a part. I wasn’t sure if the part was right and saw the video. Watching the video made me think I could repair it on my own and Al’s had the right part. I ordered part. I watched the video when doing the repair which came with the order. That’s a great idea by the way. I was able to follow the video and fix it on my own. Works like you. Thank you.
