How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5956100 / W10712394 Adjuster Kit

Ordered OEM Top Shelf Adjuster Set with new rollers. The OEM replacement better than original and a very popular ordered item according to the website, thus must have been issue with original. Followed video instructions from Appliance Parts Pros .com and completed the fix in about 20 minutes. I would like to note that the video showed exactly how to release plastic connections I would of otherwise not known about, and how to put the new kit together -- great extra service as it made what would of made a challenging process easy. Showed me exactly what was needed for my issue, parts were on hand and shipped same day I ordered Their video showed me exactly how to remove and replace the faulty parts. Easy, quick repair. Bought this repair kit. When I opened it up, it was clearly different from what was on there already, but figured it could just be an upgraded version. Looked for instructions, but there were none that came with the kit. Fortunately I like puzzles. So, took a good 10 mins or so to figure out how to remove the old unit and how the new one goes together, but once I figured it out, it die perfect, and the rack slides in and out nicely now. Later I found out that you can just look up a tutorial to show you how to install, but really, what’s the fun in that? But it’s good to know there are resources out there if you get stumped! 

With a new adjuster kit. 

We ordered this kit, as it was shown as a replacement for the side mounted supports that contain the rollers for the upper rack. Got the kit an panicked at first as it was nothing like what was on our rack, but then slowly examined the new parts, watched the installation video that uses a KitchenAid rack, and figured out it would work. Toughest part was figuring out how to remove the old wheel supports/height adjuster, but once that cam off, the rest was pretty easy. Plus, the kit has sturdier metal brackets rather than plastic ones, so it seems it'll last. Very happy with the results. Shipping was very quick, with the parts arriving in 2 days using standard shipping. Excellent experience! 

Appliance parts pros had a kit for replacing both rail slides/rollers. It worked great and the you tube video made it quick and easy!

Found the parts on Appliance Parts Pros easily (looked up by model number of dishwasher). Ordered replacement adjuster parts and they arrived within 24 hours. Repair was straightforward once parts were in hand and total dishwasher downtime was ~36 hours.
