It was a big job because the plastic fan shaft was stripped and it just spun around the metal motor shaft nut. I finally had to tear off in several pieces the plastic surrounding the shaft locking nut so I could grip the metal shaft with vise grips. Then it was easily removed. Once inside the dryer I replaced the 2 rollers, the idler pulley, and the belt and cleaned all the lint collected inside.
My dryer is an Amana model ALE643RBW. One big problem in re-assembly was the top cover does not attach and release like the video shows. I found that all 3 sections of the front cover have to be released and dropped downward so that the top cover can be unscrewed.
Start at the bottom section and then work upwards. Re-assembly starts by attaching the top section first and work downwards. The front/top section with the clips attached just slides slightly upward to join the top flat cover. The video just shows using a putty knife to release the locking clips and the top then lifts up. That does not work with this model dryer.
Thanks for the parts which shipped promptly and the video help for other parts. My wife is now very happy with the quiet sound of her new dryer. The parts cost $124, (not counting my hours of labor), but a new dryer now costs about $600+,
