How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006371 / WP22003593 Washer Door Latch Assembly

Moved from one house to a new one and thought my machine was broken in transit, but I found a video online from appliance parts pros, ordered the part and after getting the part I had it done in 10 mins back to new. I loved not having to pay someone to do what what pretty simple to do myself. 

Take it a part 

I pulled up the website and was directed to a fix it video The video was spot on and automatically pulled up the exact part with stock number Ordered the part which was shipped that same day and took delivery the next. REALLY do recommend this site for any appliance reparations and do it yourself. Very impressed and would give 10 stars top of the scale. 

Replaced door latch assembly. Very easy job, took about ten minutes. 

My father in law had the part on before I got home from work! Awesome 

Replaced the original latch with a new one. The part was quickly shipped. Video was a help. 

Bought new locking mechanism from Appliance Parts Pros and installed it. The how to video was great. I would have never figured out how to replace the part without it.
