How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006371 / WP22003593 Washer Door Latch Assembly

Replaced inner door panel with a new lock loop assembly and a new door latch assembly. 

I watched a video and it helped to diagnose the problem. I ordered the part from appliance parts pros and once it came to the door I installed it. Problem solved! Thanks for the helpful information and part. 

I looked on line and found applince parts pro,what he'd the video and I told myself I can do this. I ordered the part,it came next day as promised. I had the two tools sitting on the washer waiting for the part. I took the old one off,installed the new one a d was washing a load of towels in less than a half hour. Note: I am not real mechanical but this is really easy.,very easy instructions. Very pleased and would definitely 100% purchase again. 

I found a video on You Tube on how to fix the problem. The video showed me that I needed to replace the door lock assembly. I replaced it with no problems and the door works fine now. 

I watched your most excellent video, ordered a new locking mechanism and replaced the part. I needed to cycle power a couple of times, but it finally recognized the new part and now we are food to go! Tammy O 

Googled it found video with make and model. ordered part and installed. very easy and lucky it wasn't more than that. 

When our Maytag washing machine wouldn't work, we called Sears to come out to repair it. After diagnosing the problem, we were told that Maytag no longer sold the part we needed, so there was nothing they could do.
