How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008109 / WP3363661 Driven Cam Bearing

Directions came with the new dogs and there is a great repair video on the website. I found the video after clicking on the repair kit link, it was just below the kit's images. I ordered new agitator dogs and just replaced the thrust washer and cam bearing while it was apart (these parts come in the repair kit along with new rubber seals and the agitator cam. I didn't need any of the latter so I ordered parts individually). The old ones showed some wear but had nothing to do with the dogs' teeth being stripped off which kept it from agitating. 

Ordered part based on the Roper model drawings of the Agitator and the videos provided on AppliancePartsPros.com. Amazingly easy for a first time repair. 

Old washer machine easy fix, agitator dogs was totally destroyed due to age, now works like new!

I looked on appliance parts site , read a couple comments that described my problem, checked them out and found the problem. Looked up washer parts and ordered what I needed, next day had the parts, 10 minute fix and it works great. Appliances parts pros has the best site and parts for any repair, super fast shipping ?? 

My husband fixed it with the parts provided, I was extremely impressed by receiving the parts the very next morning after ordering them. I paid for 2 to 5 day delivery. Shortly after I woke up the next day the parts were delivered. We were able to fix the washing machine and to begin washing clothes again. 

Replaced the 4 little agitator dogs and decided to replace the other 4 parts as well.

Just like the video said, except our agitator bolt was rusted and stripped. I used 3 applications of regular WD 40; let each one sit several hours; then used the Irwin Bolt Extractor set and it worked like a charm. We needed the 10" 3/8 socket extension just like the video said as well. I ordered a new inner cap and seal. My old one was just looking a bit beat up. The seal ended up being too thick and I couldn't get it to seat properly but my old one was in ok shape so just put the old inner cap seal on the new inner cap. AppliancePartsPros.com rocks!!!
