All repairs were fairly simple. Vacuumed out dryer interior. Put it all back together and tried it out. Was a little noisy at first but once everything lined back up it was as quiet as day one. I then ordered the new parts and was surprised when they arrived the very next day. It took me about 30-40 minutes to put the dryer back together and it now works perfectly. We also decided do some maintenance and to replace some wear parts while the dryer was down. Everything we ordered fit perfectly! We cleaned out the ducting, and the dryer is performing like new. When I opened the dryer i noticed that the felt was worn down and the plastic lining on the inner part of the drum had come off in a couple of places. Also replaced drum belt and belt tension (idler) puller "while I was at it." Took the opportunity to inspect other parts and vacuum-out lint that accumulated inside dryer over some years.
