How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6020669 / WPW10381562 Bellow

My front loading Whirlpool washer was leaking at the bottom of the door due to a cracked and hardened bellows. I ordered a replacement bellows from Appliance Parts Pros which arrived the next day. The online video was very informative and had good tips. My washer model differed slightly from the one in the video but I was able to figure it out. (As a bonus, while I had the machine opened up, I cleaned out the filter trap and netted 77 cents and a small rock!) Appliance Parts Pros has saved me a lot of money in repair calls as this is the second time I've ordered a part from them and done the repair myself. Although my model was an updated version from the one in the video, it was very helpful. The upgraded assembly version made this process easier than the guy in the video. I plan to use appliance parts pros for my next appliance repair. 

Replaced the bellow just as instructed by the on-line video. Easy repair that fixed the problems. 

With the detailed instruction video I was able to change the part and in the end saved over 200.00 in labor fees 

Watched the video, ordered the new part. Arrived in two days, took 30 min the replace it. Thanks works like new again.

Got a new seal - takes 2 people. 1 with channel locks and 1 with large screw-driver to get the spring back on. 

I was able to replace boot without removing the front cover, but I would not suggest that method for the novice or unskilled.

I ordered the part and watched a video on how to replace it myself. Our home has just sold and we are leaving the appliances and needed all to be in good working order. The seal was full of holes and was leaking water onto the floor. The repair took me the better part of 2 hours but I took my time starting and stopping the video on my phone as I worked step by step. Great feeling to get the job done without the additional labor charge, and proved to my husband once again that I am amazing : )
