How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6020669 / WPW10381562 Washer Door Boot

Once I got the right part the repair went pretty good. 

Put new bellow in it 

Put a new ballast on the washer 

I ordered a new bellow from Appliance parts. Removed the old one and installed the new one. Actually my 15 years old son done most of the work. Took a total of about 20 minutes. Washer works good with no leaks now. 

Ordered part from appliance pros. Watched YouTube video demonstration on how to repair and the repaired my washer. The concept was easy, setting everything perfectly was a little tedious but took less than 1 hour. 

Upon close inspection, the rubber bellows had a rip large enough for a football to fit through. Model number easily identified the replacement part needed and I ordered it for next day receipt. It was a little tricky getting the bellow installed on the tub, but I finally got it and moved on to attaching the bellow to the front opening. That part was easy but getting the spring stretched to hold the bellow was a challenge. Got it all done and back together. Total project took a "rookie" about 3 hours. 

I ordered the part on a Friday morning at 4 AM. The next day, on Saturday afternoon, FedEx pulled up at my house and delivered it. Roughly 18 hours later so I was very impressed by the shipping time. I wasn't familiar with how to change the part, so I pulled up a video on YouTube on my tablet and just followed along. There is a lot to take apart, but the only real hiccup was putting the retention spring back on. Plan on some sweat and some choice words. Due to this, the project took quite a bit longer than I anticipated. In regards to getting what I asked for, I couldn't be happier and the cost was the cheapest I could find. I spent $112 when everywhere else I looked, ranged from $140-$160. I was a first time user and will come back again if I need to. 

I look up the part & order it from appliance part pro, watched the video to fix the problem. 

I ordered the part from appliance parts pros,watched the video and voila! I FIXED IT MYSELF!! It was so easy because of the video.
