How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013154 / WP8547168 Dryer Drive Belt

We replaced the idler pulley, 2 of 4 rollers and the belt. We would’ve replaced all four rollers but I couldn’t tell if there were four or two rollers from the description. As it turned out only one roller was bad. Your repair videos on your website are the best. The repair went smooth and the dryer works like new again. 

Needed to install a new belt and also replaced belt tensioner since bearing had seized and belt wore away the plastic pulley. 

I watched some YouTube videos on how to make these repairs. 

My husband had an idea what it might be I googled whirlpool parts and your website came up, typed in dryer info easy-peasy ordered the pulley-Ldr ( and an extra belt) it was here in a couple days! The really great thing was my husband is pretty knowledgeable about appliances but I put the video on any way ?? Boy was he happy that saved him a lot of time he would have opened the back of the dryer to install part and the video showed it went in the front! Thank you for the video and all around good service 

I replaced the tension-er pulley. While into it I replaced the Drum Rollers and the belt for a tune up 

New tension pulley and bracket and new belt. 

My dryer belt broke and I bought a new one. When I took my dryer apart to install the belt, I found that the pulley wheel was wore out so, I ordered one and it works great. 

I changed the idler pulley.

I went online to www.appliancepartspro.com and looked up reasons why my dryer wouldn't spin for the model I have. Found out it could be a broken belt or a damaged pulley. I watched the video provided and was able to take apart my dryer with the step by step video (so helpful and easy). I discovered the belt was in good shape but the pulley wheel was broken. The website is so user friendly. I was able to order my parts immediately online. I ended up ordering the belt as well as the pulley. I figured while I had the dryer taken apart, I might as well change the belt. All the reviews I read stated the shipping of parts usually takes 1.5 days. That was right on the money. I received my parts in a day and a half. I continued watching the videos on how to change the parts and put the dryer back together. Again...so very helpful. My husband and children had their doubts that I would be able to repair and put back the dryer to it's original state. However, with the helpful videos, it was a cinch!!
