How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009126 / WP40111201 Dryer Drive Belt

Put new belt on and cleaned rollers and tension roller, put new snap rings and washers on. rollers were real cruddy 

The online videos I watch took me step by step and would have gotten through sooner but l took the time to clean out all the lent and dust . I also dismantled the dryer to clean it totally. Everything went back smoothly and it works like a new one. 

De-squeakafied it !!! hahaha....With the quality parts, I bought from you guys....And I can't beleive how easy it was to order and how fast I got them !!! You guys have a "Great Business Model" !!!

For $144.00 in parts I just saved a HUGE amount of money for a service call,AND saved my dryer. And Maytag didn't even carry the parts any more! Thanks Appliance Parts Pros!!! You're AWESOME!!! 

I looked the Maytag dryer model up on the web to figure out how to disassemble it to remove the drum. After I popped the top using two 2" putty knives to push back the spring clips located between the top and the cabinet in the front top on either side at the joint where the top and cabinet meet. After disassembly I identified what I needed, the dryer belt tension pulley assembly, the dryer belt and could see one dryer drum glide had an end broken off. I ordered these parts from Appliance Parts Pros with standard shipping and received the parts in two days, which was a great response time. I installed the parts, reassembled the dryer hooked the exhaust duct up, plugged in the cord and it now works like new! 

Replaced belt and dryer belt tension pulley assembly. Video was a good help. The trick about putting tape over the one end of the box wrench was a great idea that made the job go very easy. 

I took the front lower cover off to inspect.....I started the dryer and watched it run.....I noticed the idler pulley not turning.......the belt had worn a groove in the pulley and would catch periodically causing the 'thumping' sound....I ordered an idler pulley, belt, and front felt seal to repair the dryer....it works fine now...... 

After watching the repair video I opened up the dryer without any problems and found that the belt tension pully bearing failed and the mount arm had an excessive amount play in it. So armed with the part numbers I found here I went down to the local parts store and found that they did not stock the parts but could get them in a week. I went home and ordered them on line and had them the next day. I did vary from the video a bit. I uncliped the motor wire connector and removed the two screws holding the motor in. Then took the motor assembly out and did the work on the work bench. I also replaced the belt. 

I did it myself I order all parts threw appliancepartspro well I had it apart I replaced rollers on drum very easy fix if you needed to no anything they have videas on everything you need to no very good place to get parts and repair things yourself thank appliance pros
