How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009417 / WP4452164 Light Bulb

The must difficult area was determine the correct bulb ------ but with great customer service it was a breeze. Additionally ------- i received th two bulbs the next day ---- just amazing. i have other parts to replace and will use your services when ready. great experience. 

First time this happened we had a tech come out from the store we bought the stove - he diagnosed it as the control board (connects from the dials to the zodiac control). That process took about 6 weeks with scheduling and waiting for the part to come in. After that the oven worked for 1 month past the 3 month warranty on the part he replaced-great! I came to Appliance Parts Pros and ordered the control board thinking it went bad again (and I wanted to save money and time!). But it wasn't the fix- oven still would over heat. I called APP for help and they confirmed my deduction that what I really needed was the Zodiac Control. Had the Zodiac in a couple days. Problem fixed! This was my first stove repair and I only knew how to get to the parts by watching the first repair tech, but I took a picture of the wiring and with a screw set with multiple heads I was able to slowly do this in about 2 hours). The control board I had was good so I was able to return the one I ordered from APP very easily. Could not have been more pleased with the service and support- wish I would have contacted APP sooner!! This mom is super happy to have the oven back!

Replaced it 

Put in a new bulb. 

It was SO easy!! I watched the video and realized I could do it all by myself. I never fix anything! This was a breeze. The part came quickly and the steps were easily lined out in the video. 

I replaced the light bulbs myself by removing old bulbs and light cover. It was a simple process. As we all know sometimes removing the bulbs are difficult and may require purchasing an entire light fixture. 

I found the replacement parts on-line at AppliancePartsPro.com the matched my oven's model number. I ordered the parts within 2 days the parts were delivered to my home. I watched some on-line videos that helped me to disassemble the door. With the help from the videos I was able to remove the damaged parts and install the new parts without any issues. 

Replaced it 

No tools required. I was surprised at the cost of the bulbs but I imagine they need to be specialized to handle the heat of the oven. Used gloves, glass covers popped off, 2 minutes max. Great to have light again to see what we are cooking!
