Jean November 17, 2021 for Model Number KEBS208SSS04 I am trying to replace all 4 bulbs in my double oven. I took the bulbs out but all that I find and all I've seen on your site have a different prong to plug in. Mine have a loop when it's plugged in, yours are straight. Mine are about 1/2 wide and others I found aren't that wide but the are the 12V, 5W ?????
1 Answer Jean, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide the bulbs separately from the light assembly WPW10307114 as it has been revised by the manufacturer. Read More...
Sandra February 02, 2021 for Model Number KEMS378SBL00 When replacing the halogen light bulb, is it important to NOT touch the bulb with my hand or do I have to use gloves?
1 Answer Hello Sandra, the light bulb manufacturers give this alert on halogen bulbs as halogen bulbs in use are much hotter than regular incandescent bulbs and a layer of skin oil on the bulb's glass combined with the hotter temperature may cause the bulb's glass to fail. Read More...
Connie December 05, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool RMC305 I have a whirlpool RMC305PVS01 electric combination built-in oven and microwave. The model number on the microwave just says RMC305. The microwave light bulb burned out about 6 months ago. I cannot find any information about changing the bulb without pulling the entire microwave and lower oven unit out of the wall, which seems utterly ridiculous. Is this the only way the access the bulb?
1 Answer Connie, Unfortunately, pulling the unit out from the wall is the only way to replace the light bulb in the unit. Read More...
Bill May 13, 2014 for Model Number KEM378 Oven/ microwave, microwave light in center of top is out. How do you remove this bulb, little like a flash lite bulb
Randy Q May 05, 2014 for Model Number KDRP467KSS0 Bulbs where burned out, changed them working fine now - however I have a question. When you turn the oven on to bake should the light bulbs light and stay lite until the oven is shut off ? Is this standard operating procedures ???
1 Answer Randy, The oven lights are 12 volt, 5-watt maximum halogen bulbs. They will come on when the oven door is opened, or when the oven is operating in any cook mode while the manual light switch is in the "Auto" position. They will not work during the Self-Clean cycle, the Proof function, or when the manual light switch is in the "Off" position. Read More...
Randy May 02, 2014 for Model Number KDRP467KSS0 What is the key to removing the screw that holds the lens in place to replace the light bulb ? Is it a phillips head ? If so what size ? Starr ? Or something different ?? All three of my bulbs do not work ? Could it be something other than the bulbs ? I have not performed a continuity test on the bulbs because I can not get the screw out that hold the lens in.
1 Answer Randy, Based on what we can see on the picture it looks to be an allen screw but would not have the size needed. The most likely issue with all 3 of the lights not working would be the light power supply transformer part number WP9760588. Read More...

Richard October 03, 2013 for Model Number Kitchenaid oven Model KEBC177K, Ser # XT1413221 (2006) After cleaning the oven the interior oven light wasn't working. I checked the bulbs and they are working. I called Kitchenaid's service repair department and was told that my contract didn't cover bulbs but my question is that it must be something else wrong with the oven. Is there a switch or fuse located in this oven. It's like telling me my car is running and is fine but the headlights don't work! so how can I use the car at night? Could you shed some light on my dilemia? Is there a part or switch that needs replacing? Thanks in advance for your help.
1 Answer Hello Richard. Most likely the transformer WP9760588 has failed in the unit and is not sending power to the bulb. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
