How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023677 / WPW10662129 Run Capacitor

Replaced Start relay and capacitor 

Replaced the Starter on the compressor. Also replaced the capacitor as well for the extra $ 10 in the event that this was having issues as well. 

Replaced open start cap and compressor start device 

Replaced the run capacitor 

After checking the compressor for resistance and it was good but the compressor was not running it had to be the Run Capacitor and start device for now. It was.... replaced them and presto all is good. 

Major issue, the compressor was not starting. Tested capacitor with a multi-meter and it was dead. Thus, replaced the start capacitor following the repair video here. Second issue was the upper fridge compartment would end up freezing everything regardless of the thermostat setting. Removed and replaced the thermostat behind Evaporator Cover and its been good! 

I replaced the run capacitor and the starter relay, plugged it back in, and heard the compressor running. After a couple hours, now the refrigerator and freezer are nice and cold.
