How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4299744 / 8206230A Microwave Charcoal Filter

Installed both filters and changed light bulb. Very pleased 

Took me less than 5 minutes to replace. 

Bought a new lower cam and switch. Cam ordered and cam in unit where not the same. Cam is spring loaded.Noticed the Door latch which hits the spring loaded cam didn't line up.Because of the stress on the spring it pushed the cam past the point where the spring would push the cam back to correct operating position.I moved the cam back to where it would hit the door latch which triggers the on /off door switch and latches the door shut. I bent the stressed out spring to it natural shape, pushed the cam back so it aligns with the door latch and presto,operates like new.Probably will order a new spring. 

Ordered new parts and swapped them out. 

So because of the great deal I ordered everything and replaced everything for now except the Light Bulb 

Ordered new parts and super simple to attach. Works and looks beautiful. 

Bought new part, and put it on.

Used the parts I bought to correctly install it. When the original owner removed it, they damaged it and I was able to find the parts I needed at appliancepartspros.com. 

Replaced. All fitted and worked.
