How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4299744 / 8206230A Microwave Charcoal Filter

I watched the video on Appliance Pro, ordered the parts and installed the new bulb. I needed a set of needle nose pliers as the bulb came off the base. 

Followed the DIY video. Replacement worked without any problem. 

The filters just slip in then out, and the top cover is just two Philips screws and I was done. The only concern was that the Whirlpool part was inter changeable with the Kitchenaid microwave part, but they have a part versification check that said it would fit and it did. Easy. 

Just popped in the new one when it came in the mail. 

Found my Whirlpool microwave filters in about a minute. Watched the videos and placed my order. In three days my filters arrived. Took about 5 minutes to replace both. This store is awesome! Highly recommended. 

SCREW DRIVER 

Completely replaced the grill-vent with a new part. Super simple, all we needed was a screwdriver. 

Replaced both filters. Light bulb was broken at the base. Unplugged microwave, clipped filament wire with pliers, wrapped duct tape around finger and inserted into socket and unscrewed broken bulb base. Replaced with new bulb. Screwed cover back on. Everything fit and works perfectly.
