Our dryer had been noisy for about 7-10 days until it finally just quit. After removing the top and front cover, we found that the clamp had fallen off entirely and the front retaining clip was in bad shape in addition to a completely cracked blower wheel.
We purchased all 3 parts at the same time, and they arrived 2 days later. The clamp may not have needed to be replaced, but since we were paying shipping, we ordered it for good measure so that we wouldn't need to place a 2nd order.
We did need a good bit more force to get the new blower wheel on than depicted in the repair video. We used a hammer and pounded it against a softer surface tool that in turn pounded in the blower wheel. The clamp went on easy enough after that with some pliers. For the retaining ring though, we had to run to the store and get a special tool that went in those tiny little holes to pry it apart to put back on. Maybe it could have been done without that tool, but we couldn't figure out how and time was of the essence.
Keeping in mind that we are NOT handy people, we were able to do this ourselves with the help of the videos.
