How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007635 / WP312967 Clamp

Removed old blower fan and installed new one. 

I removed the front of the dryer, two clips and two screws and a lift got that front out of the way. I touched the blower motor wheel and it was spinning freely on the shaft. I ordered the wheel, the clamp and the clip that goes on the front of the motor shaft and repaired it in less than an hour. Complete from start to finish including the ordering of parts. 

Ordered a new wheel and found the repair video(which was very helpful). Took less than 30 minutes and the dryer works like new. 

Removed the top panel. Remove two screw to remove front panel. Opened blower housing (multiple 1/4" screws). Remove snap ring. Retaining ring was already broken off. Blower wheel was already broken at the hub. Installed new blower wheel (it was difficult to drive on the hub). I was not sure how to drive wheel on to the motor shaft. Installed retaining ring. 

I opened up the dryer back, turned it on and heard the sound in the front. I closed the back, opened the front, and found the noise. Opened up the blower motor front and found a wobbly blower vane. Looked up the Appliance Pros schematic for my model, ordered the part, got it in three days. I installed it, actually easy to do! Put all the covers back on and it's running great! I will continue to only use Appliance Parts Pro. The schematics helped me figure out what was inside and what to try and replace. 

Ordered new blower wheel, installed blower wheel in about 5 minutes. Easy fix. This is the second one I've had to replace. 

I replaced the motor. 

Discovered the blower fan was free spinning on the motor. Found a replacement and it was a quite easy replacement. My 30+ year dryer is back to working very well. Your videos are quite helpful. 

Replaced wheel,clamp, and retaining ring.
