How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6018469 / WPW10279256 Kitchen Aid Blender Drive Coupler

I replaced the coupler using the Appliance Parts Pros video. It was very helpful. The comments also had a tip about removing the bottom cover that applied to my specific blender. 

I ordered the part online and watched the video that showed how to fix it and I did it!!! 

Watched a u tube video, screwdriver and a hammer, left handed thread was the key to know.

Replace drive coupler. 

Very easy after watching the video showing how to replace it. Excelente tip. 

I used the video showing how to remove and replace drive coupling on the blender base and it took a little doing but went just fine 

I had already thrown the blender in the trash and went online to look for a replacement. I came across Appliance Parts Pros who have a video on how to remove the part and who had one in stock. Removing the drive coupler took me about 10-15 attempts with a hammer and a screwdriver, but it eventually came off. The extra questions and answers in Appliance Parts Pros helped a lot to show what to do when the part would not come off. In the end I ended up spending only $11.00 (part plus shipping), instead of $80-$100 for a new blender. 

I ordered a replacement part and watched the helpful video. After 4 days the part still had not come so I called the company They showed that the part had been delivered-but I didn't receive it, so they quickly said they would send out a new one, and sure enough, it came in 2 days and with it a gift card!! I subsequently called for technical help since the repair was not going as per the video. They were very helpful, and we finally got the repair made and it works fine! This company is great and I will certainly be doing business with them again. This is such a rare find, these days! Thank you!
