How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4303664 / W10161215 Dishrack

Ordered a compatible rack. When received I was able to pull old rack out and insert the new one. There was one roller set missing so I used one off the old rack. Had to insert the finger pulls on bit sides, easy. 

I bought replacement top and bottom dish racks. It is surprising they are so expensive - easily more than half the cost of a new machine. If I didn't like the layout of my existing dishwasher more than the new models, I would have bought a new one. They are relatively easy to install, but you have to transfer parts from the old dish racks to the new ones. So don't get rid of the old ones until after you install the new ones! 

Replaced it 

Replaced it with the modern replacement you provided. Now I have a repair kit, spare rollers, a foldable rack of tines and all the related parts put back for repair if necessary. A win win scenario. Thanks for all you do. :>) 

Replace racks. 

Bought new rack. It was everything advertised. I'd buy from APP again. 

New rack comes with new wheels. Place the new wheels on the rack in same location as the old rack. Remove tower protector from old rack, place in same location as old rack. Done! Tower protector can be a little difficult to take off and put on. The new rack does not have the adjustable tine row shown in the video. The new rack does not come with the bumpers shown in the video. My dishwasher is a Whirlpool. The picture for the dishrack parts shows a bottom rack that has missing tines in the middle for the silverware basket to sit between and around the tower protector. The new rack has tines in this area. The old silverware basket can fit with some effort in the same older location with the tines going through the holes of the silverware basket. However, it is really not made for this. silverware basket which will sit on the righthand side of the new lower rack. The rack has a little stopper on one side that goes against the back of the dishwasher, use this for how to orient the rack in the dishwasher. Watch the video for what I am referring too. 

Ordered replacement racks -- it was so easy, just typed in my model number to get manufacturer parts from y'all! I watched some of a video on installation and when my replacements arrived I was able to switch the rollers and tubes that direct the water flow without much trouble (other than my fingers are not the strongest in the world with all that snap in place). It's like having a brand new dishwasher on the inside and no longer are my fingers getting scratched where the coating had worn off and rusted but at least I think I didn't have to worry about getting tetanus from the rust because after all, it was inside the dishwasher where things are cleaned. And the best part of all, saved more than $100 on the cost instead of if I'd ordered directly from the manufacturer. 

I ordered a new bottom dishwasher rack. 

Switched out the old rack for the new one. The coating was coming off the old one so it was time to replace.
