Mark C Cary , NC September 13, 2014 The tab on the detergent dispenser door wore off and the door would not stay closed I replaced the dispenser assembly. The repair was easy to do and cheaper than having some one do it or replacing the dishwasher - but the $50 assembly was overkill for a broken 50 cent door. Watching the video first helped with the repair, but I would suggest two other things... if the video mentioned that this part may not LOOK exactly like what it is replacing and that some original parts have a rinse agent sensor and that doesn't get used on the new one, it would answer a lot of questions down the road. I watched the video, very instructive, but not precise. bought the replacement. started the project then discovered that the wire hookup was different than the old part. We contacted the help chat and got good assistance from Krystal. She followed up with research and informed me that the old extra wire was not necessary on the new model. Continued with installation, ran into another minor issue in that one of the 6 screw holes to attach the bracket was not a hole. I had to drill out my own and then I was able the attach. Unit operates, so all in all was fairly easy. took longer than the video suggested because of the above delays, should be about 30-45 min. project. Read More...
