How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3094183 / 279570 Dryer Door Latch Kit

Replaced latch. 

Ordered part, received part & snapped into hole 

After checking to see if the local store in town had the part, I asked for a price and was shocked at how much they wanted. I researched websites to see who had the part and found AppliancePartsPros.com had the best prices. The local store wanted over $10 more for their part before tax and handling. Even after shipping, AppliancePartsPros.com still came in less expensive. They also have videos showing how to fix the door using the part I ordered. 

Replaced the latch after watching video. 

I lived with a broken latch on my dryer for 3 years - took less than a minute to order and 30 seconds to install! 

I followed the door latch repair video and everything went smoothly, and I'm of an age when I don't have a lot of patience anymore. I set up my tablet on the dryer while following the video to replace the latch. Easy Peasy! You saved me some money! Thanks 

Ordered door latch kit. 

Ordered a new latch. 

Followed the directions from the video and removed the door. Needed a different type of screwdriver so that took some time finding. Removed all of the screws on the door, inserted the catch, and tried to put the door back together. Had to repeat several times but finally got it back together and replaced the door on the dryer. A little difficult to get the screws back into the hinge . The dryer shut fine and started right up and the door was nice and tight. I learned a lot about my dryer door! 

It if perfectly. It wasn't that difficult to install. .
