Jeffrey C Fort Worth , TX January 24, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Electric Dryer PYE3300AYW Frozen roller bearings Popped top up and took front of dryer off. Disconnected door wires. Loosened belt and removed drum. Found tutorial on utube. Replaced rollers and put on new belt as dryer is 17 years old. Vacuumed lint. Little bit of challenge getting belt on by feel with idler arm coming off so had to pull drum back out and slide idler arm back in slot. Dryer is working perfectly again. Repair people were going to charge $70 for service call, $80 for labor, and $120 for roller kit. Roller kit and new belt were about $53 delivered to me. A little time and some mechanical knowledge and it works now. New dryers at $400+ vs $53, it was worth a try. Read More... After agreeing on the required parts they were shipped and I received them in 2 days. Note: I was 1 week out of back surgery so I had to talk my 19 year old college kid through the reassembly.
