Paul W Los Lunas , NM September 24, 2017 My dryer was working but it was making a lot of (constant) noise very loud. The root cause was the front glides. They were virtually gone, and the drum was on metal to metal. So I replaced them with a front glide kit. I also replaced the belt, rear rollers, and lint screen. I am happy to say all the parts fit perfectly, and I couldn't find a better price anywhere else. I will definitely keep you on file for the next time I need appliance parts! Thank you! Barry P Loranger , LA February 08, 2016 Appliance: Model PYG23000AWW Very loud rumbling noise and a lot of vibration from dryer as it runs I replaced the rollers with the dryer kit in about 1 hr. I also replaced the belt for good measure. Additionally, I cleaned the front pads that the drum rolls on and added some more felt below the plastic pads. If I were to do the same process again, I would have purchased the new pads as well. Everything is working well, the excess vibrations and noise have been resolved. As far as the order, all parts arrived 1 day earlier than expected. They were in perfect condition and came with instructions. I was very satisfied with my order and the results of this project. Charles F Pflugerville , TX January 03, 2015 Appliance: Model LNC8543A80 Rattling noise admiral gas dryer model lnc8543a80 After taking the dryer apart, I found that one of the rear rollers (right) was worn and broken. The belt was also cracking, so I figured it needed to be replaced while I was in there. Put the dryer back together and started it up. It still rattled. That was when I noticed the blower wheel was worn and loose on the spindle. Replaced the blower wheel and the dryer was like new. It took longer to fix because my original diagnosis was not correct and I had to wait until the blower wheel came in the mail on my second order. It was fairly straightforward and easy to repair, just a little time consuming, because I opened and closed the dryer 3 times. Susan G Williston , FL December 16, 2014 Appliance: Model YE255LM Made a loud noise I replaced the rear rollers, using online video. However replacing rollers did not solve the problem. I was proud that I tried. It was not that hard to do, I'am a 64 yr. old female, I believe the dryer was older than me. Michael M Doylestown , PA January 02, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Gas Dryer PYG2300AWW Intermittent squeaking got worse and worse; then dryer would no longer start Scanned the typical list of problems for my unit (Maytag PYG2300AWW) on AppliancePartsPros.com. Watched a video on how to open up and inspect the dryer's parts. I noticed that one of the rear rollers did not spin as easily, but it did not explain the squeaking. Also found that the pulley wheel seemed fine. That took me to the drive motor. I tried turning the shaft of the motor, and it could barely be nudged. After using a meter to check that the timer/start device was still functioning, I decided the drive motor was the main culprit. I ordered a new drive motor and also ordered the rear roller replacement kit (may as well fix that while everything is opened up). The parts arrived on the exact day estimated. I watched a video on AppliancePartsPros.com on how to replace the drive motor, and another video on how to replace the rollers. Had to buy a new tool to properly handle some snap rings, but that was affordable. Repair went smoothly and the dryer is working like a charm. Brian M Austin , TX April 07, 2021 Maytag gas dryer rattling noises. Following the AppliancePartsPros video, disassembled the +5 year old dryer and replaced the rear rollers and belt. Tip on pre-screwing the screws to cut threads was a great tip, I used some 3n1 oil to ease the threading. Also found the blower wheel defective and replaced it too. Dryer is quiet and runs like new. Ken M Cranberry Twp , PA February 02, 2021 Appliance: Maytag Electric Dryer PYET344AYW Our dryer started vibrating the floor so bad we could feel it two rooms away. Went online and determined the problem was probably the drum rollers. Tried to find them locally and was told they would have to be ordered. I was given the delivery date and price. Went to the AppliancePartsPros website and found I could get them faster with a lower cost than I had been quoted locally. I placed the order for the kit and received it 3 days later. I watched the video on your website and was able to replace the rollers in less than two hours and that included a thorough cleaning of the inside of the dryer. Once the new rollers were installed, the vibration stopped. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
