How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6019197 / WPW10308477 Oven Bake Element

Ordered a new bake element and replaced the old broke one. Simple fix! I watched their repair video and the rest is history. Thank You! 

Replaced the element 

I didn't throw the breaker or unplug the oven. ASSUMED that because the oven wasn't turned on, power wasn't hot to element. Disconnected old element, connected new and pushed back into place. The left contact made contact with the oven body and basically exoloded. Unplugged the oven... Had to replace the connector as completely disintegrated. Also, damaged the oven body around the opening. Works great. Don't assume which is not my typical MO. 

The fix was a simple 5-minute fix, once i got the right part. unscrewed 2 phillips screws, unhooked the pressure-fit electrical connections, swapped the units, reconnected the electrical, rescrewed the screws. done! 

Removed old element and replaced it with the ordered new one. 

Ordered replacement element from Appliance Parts Pros.com. Received it the next day and switched out the old one for the new one and it's working great now! 

I replaced the heating element I had already replaced the oven sensor. My only problem was reaching into the back of the oven as I did not want to remove the oven door. 

Installed new element. Element was correct replacement and fit perfectly. 

My husband replaced the bake element. 

I ordered a new oven bake element and a friend replaced it for me.
