Craig A Houston , TX May 17, 2016 Appliance: Model MAYTAG 9855XVB The upper wall oven would not heat I found my model number on AppliancePartsPros.com very easily and found the new element and temperature sensor kit. The temperature has always been a little off, so I figured I needed the new sensor. I am glad I also ordered the element. When I took everything apart I discovered that the wire connector had burned off and the element was no good anymore. I had a spare connector in my tool box, so I crimped it on, and put everything back together. Now the oven heats quickly and I believe it is more accurate. After taking out the retaining screws (qty 2) you had to tilt the element up to pull out. Coming out straight did not work, the terminals are perpendicular to the opening and cannot clear the opening. Read More...
