How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010190 / WP660533 8 Inch Large Surface Element

I replaced both the element and the plug. This was my third time to use Appliance Parts Pro. Their web site is top notch making it easy to diagnose problems. They are the Rock Stars of the appliance repair business! It Is a pleasant experience to use their services. Every aspect is top notch. 

Very easily. I often remove the elements to clean the drip pans. One of our larger elements was not working. I ordered on line. Was ecstatic that the element arrived in two days, even though I opted for standard delivery. Just removed the old one and slipped in the new one. PERFECT! 

This was so easy with Appliance parts pros, the parts are exactly what they needed to be and fit perfectly. All in all it took about 10 minutes to replace and looks like we have a new cooktop.

It went very easily. The two original clips were riveted in the top but a small drill bit cut the last of the rivit free and the clips remainders just fell out. There was no damage to the stop top. The butner simply snaps in to its socket so that was easy to replace. Pulled the old one out and put in the new one. 

One burner was buzzing and sparking where it plugs into the receptacle. The female spade terminals in the receptacle were loose and the metal was soft so they couldn't be tightened by crimping. I replaced the receptacle along with the other three, just in case they were ready to fail, along with the burner which had a discolored lug, and everything is working fine. 

Order the part and replace it on the stove 

Replaced all 4 switches, receptacles and elements. via order from your company. 

Removed the old burners by simply pulling them out, and replaced with the new ones. 

Found the correct replacement on AppliancePartsPros & just plugged it in after it arrived ; very easy.
