How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6026333 / W10870869 Field Assembly

It went from repair to redo/customize quickly. As the mixer was old, but had sentimental value. I completely took apart the kitchen aid mixer. I took the case pieces to a powder coated for a new purple coating. As this was being done I decided to purchase new motor parts as the mixer is older and was at times struggling. I disassembled the mixer one year prior to powder coating. When it came time to assemble and ‘fix’ I really needed the videos on here to help guide me to make sure everything was put back in correctly for it to work like new. And I can say that is exactly how it works! 

Replaced the components. 

Replaced motor, now running fine. Great experience with supplied part, online support, repair video. My problem, while transporting housing between home & shop, lost Gear Hub Will order new one: all the power but no transmission!! 

I ordered the Motor Field Assembly and the Motor Armature. The Motor Armature has a bearing on it that I believed was making the noise. I followed the step by step video and in about an hour I was done. The mixer works like new again. This is not my first purchase from here and it won't be my last. 

My son in law found this Kitchenaid mixer sitting on the curb for trash pick up. He know I fix everything and he brought it home and gave it to me. After a few quick checks with my multimeter I determined th e field windings in the motor were open. I ordered the parts and now have a perfectl functioning mixer!
