How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5983563 / EDR3RXD1 Whirlpool Everydrop Refrigerator Water Filter 3

The filter was an easily replaced. It is good to know where I can find parts and get advice. Thank you. 

Replaced the filter you sent which I received the day after ordering. Worked great and the order process was great. Thank You Bill "D" 10/19/20 

Replaced water filter housing and put new water filter in. Water and ice cubes are flowing just like new. 

Ordered a new drawer and received it in less than a week. Thank you for speedy and friendly service. 

Replacing part. 

Removed the frig door and replaced both cams at the bottom of the door. Very simple to do. Just need a 5/16 socket. Remove the hinge cover on the top of the fridge door 5/16 bolt, Remove the hinge plate at the top of door. (3) 5/16 bolts. Lift door off of bottom hinge pin. Lay down door. Remove both door cams. Each has 5/16 bolt. Install both new door cams. Tighten 5/16 bolt on each. Lifted door back in place. Insrall top hinge plate and hidge cover. Very easy repair. Door closes perfect now. 

Had to tear the whole thing apart. Take off the top panel to get to the screws to remove the front panel. Pull out the tub and clean up 17 years of lint and dust build up LOL The most resistance was in adapting the wiring for the motor was a little different and took a minute or two to change over then put it all back together and it is working great! 

Purchased a new one through Appliance Parts Pros. They shipped out right away. Have purchased from them several times and will do so again. 

It was easy, just pulled out the old one and pushed in the new in. Both filter and cap worked perfectly. It’s easy to find parts on your website with serial number and model number. Yours is the best parts place I have found online. Thank you Wanda Choate
