How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6285244 / W11133646 Gear

Watched the video, studied the diagrams, ordered the parts, disassembled, cleaned out shavings, reassembled, and greased heavily...works like new! thanks...jb 

My daughter's Kitchenaid mixer fell off the counter while making dough. Since then the mixer had a grinding noise. Hard to find parts when KitchenAid has so many SKU's (too many) and did not want to buy a new unit, since this was a custom color not made anymore. Watched a few videos on how to disassemble. Found the parts on AppliancePartsPros.com and got the unit operational again. The only part not found is a small tub of grease. Got that elsewhere. I am very glad to have this resource for parts and how-to videos. 

I searched the web to find a fix-it video and came across Appliance Parts Pros. I found one of their repair videos, and after watching the video seeing how simple it looked to do. I decided to disassemble my mixer and found two worn gears, but wanted to go ahead and replace them all except the worm gear it looked to be in pristine condition. So I ordered the gears I wanted. Received most of my parts within a week to two weeks but because of the Covid 19 shutdown one part took longer. The replacement of the gears was easy to do, cleaning the old grease was a bit messy but I was able to remove it to my satisfaction. Customer service at Appliance Pros was a pleasure to talk to they were very helpful and knowledgeable. 

Installed the new parts I ordered.
