How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6800088 / W11200218 Grease

I replaced 3 gears and 2 bearing sleeves then repacked gears with recommended grease reinstalled gear box cover then replaced speed control module. 

Took the Kitchen Aid mixer apart, cleaned the old grease out, added new grease and reassembled. Took about 1 hour but saved $300.00 buying a new mixer. 

I opened it and found the worm gear was worn and allowing it two jump and then jam the drive screw so I replaced it as well as new thrust bearing and of course new washers now it works however the next time I will replace all the gears and bushings and the gear case because it is much more noisy than before and other parts may be worn that are hurting alignment also it good to note that the screws appear to be Philips also accept a 2 square Robertson driver and this works better 

Ordered a replacement part. They had a blown out diagram to help me re-install the new part. Shipped the same day I ordered. Very nice 

We took it apart, diagnosed which gears needed replacing and also ordered grease since ours was hardened with age and full of metal filings. We were thrilled we were able to save it and repair it in time to process the buckets of tomatoes coming in from the garden. The attachment we like to use separates seeds and skins from the tomato puree really quickly and easily. We took our time doing this repair. Someone else could probably do it quicker. The mixer works better than ever. 

Replaced original plastic house with replacement ( aluminium ) house. Added all new grease. Easier than I thought it would be. 1 hour and we were good to go. 

Replaced gear parts, worked great. Shipping was amazingly fast. Will use APP.com for future parts.

Disassemble, removed damaged gear and remaining grease. Inspected and cleaned all internal gear box drive parts, placed order, reassembled with ample new grease on all gears. Mixer back in business.
