I first thought it was the water temperature switch, so I ordered that part from APP. That part arrived in one day after placing the order. I put that part on, but that was not the problem. So I called a repair person who is also a neighbor, and he stated he thought it would be the water valve, and stated they go bad, but the temperature control switches rarely do. So I ordered a water valve for my washer, and it arrived in one day after I placed the order. I then did an R&R of the water valve, and that fixed the problem. When I put everything back, I did have a small leak at one of the hose connections, so I also ordered two water supply hoses from APP, installed them, and that took care of that problem. I called and got an RMA number for the temperature control valve, and I have shipped that back for a full refund (minus my shipping cost of $2.45). It is nice will give a full refund on electrical parts, because many places will not take electrical parts back. In all, I placed three orders and they all arrived in one day, which was great, and all the parts ordered were the correct parts for my washer. Regarding the ease of this fix, everything was quite simple except it was a bit of a challenge to get the washer housing perfectly aligned on the base when putting the washer back together, mostly because I was working in a pretty tight space.
