By replacing the control module assembly.
I chatted with the friendly / knowledgeable customer service rep and watched the video provided online by appliancepartspros.com and although it wasn't the exact ice maker I had it showed me the basics I needed to remove and install the new control module. First and foremost, remove power from the appliance. You will need a nut driver (forgot size) and Phillips head screw driver. On my model, remove the front cover from the ice maker (there is no arm) I located 1 nut bolt on the right backside securing the ice maker and once removed, the ice maker slid right out on its two (2) guide rails. (I did wiggle it back and forth while pulling it out). Locate the control modules three (3) Phillips screws and remove, oh and by the way, do not place the screws anywhere near the kitchen sink...
Remove the suspect control module and install the new control module securing the three (3) Phillips screws. No need to make any adjustments on the new control module. Slide the ice maker back onto the guide rails and push into place and secure with the nut bolt and install the front cover. Restore power to the appliance.
Note: My model uses an infrared light source (beam) across the ice bin to the receiver side. The receiver will give 2 blinks while the beam is blocked e.g. when the ice bin is full.
Hope this was helpful..
