How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4359694 / W10190935 Ice Maker Control Module

I found videos from Appliance Parts Pros on how to test the ice maker module and replace it. I followed the videos to remove it and test. I ordered the control module part and it arrived quickly within a day or two. I replaced the module and reinstalled the ice maker per the video. The only difficulty was getting the power plug to separate but I was able to pull apart with leverage from pliers. Ice maker started producing ice again within a few hours. 

I ordered the control motor for the ice maker. My husband and I fixed it fairly easily after watching a few videos on our model refrigerator and how to remove and replace the ice maker. Once fixed it took about 2 hours for the freezer to reset and start to make ice again. We are not super handy so was pleased at the ease of the repair. 

Repair video on the site was great. Repair took less than 1/2 hour. 

Through a google search that brought me to this website, I discovered that others had a similar issue that I was having with my ice maker. I followed the directions that other's had taken and removed my ice maker to find that a plastic piece had broken on the Ice Maker Control Module. I ordered a new one from Appliance Parts Pros, received it very quickly, followed the directions I found reading other's experience and (hooray) my ice maker was producing ice again! It was so easy that I never even had to enlist my husband's help. 

As suggested by AppliancePartsPros.com, I ordered the Ice Maker Control Module. Following the very well done video instruction, the installation went without a hitch. Be aware that you should not expect the module to start to cycle immediately. I did, and I ended up checking my electrical plug-ins again. Finally went to the refrigerator manual to discover that the freezer needs to be down to freezing temperatures before the module will start. Makes sense. My ice maker started up about 2 hours after the installation - no problem. 

Summer is starting and our Whirlpool refrigerator side by side door ice maker part stopped working. I ordered the part in default and zas!! It came back to life!! I was scared at first to do it myself but it wasn’t difficult thanks to the video instructions and YouTube diy. 

Replaced control card. Removed 3 screws. Un-plugged bad card. Aligned cams and actuator. Inserted, plugged-in card. Inserted 3 screws. Installed cover plate. 

Ordered new part got new part installed it and it is now making ice again. Watched video that shows how to fix it. Now it's making ice again.was a great help. 

Tested the current ice maker control module after watching some YouTube videos, which was to manually start a cycle and also activate the water dispersal. Neither worked, which led me to believe my module had burned out. Ordered a new control module and installed it, and it started to make ice again. Pretty easy installation overall. 

I replaced the control unit. Now works like a charm.
