How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005726 / WP206680 Injector Hose Kit

Replaced injector hose kit ( the actual hoses were ok ). The leak was coming out of the plastic injector valve located between the two sections of hose. 

I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The hose came quickly. I installed the hose and its OK 

It was easy to ascertain that the leak originated at the top of the machine. Watching a YT video, I learned how to remove the front panel and raise the top of the washing machine. I saw what I later learned was the injector hose, which I determined was the source of the leak. I called AppliancePartsPros.com to confirm that the product I needed was the injector hose. I placed the order and the item arrived within a few days. Installation took me less than 45 minutes. I'm just thankful that for this old machine, it was something this simple. 

After figuring out how to remove the front panel ( thank youtube) saw the leak. I googled the washer model # and found a parts diagram. With the part # for the Injector hose. We shopped for the best price. Took about 15 minutes to switch out. 

I am very impressed with you guys. Our Maytag washer was leaking water and we tracked it to the back left hand side. After removing the front panel, and running a load the source was reveled. I went to your site, entered my model. After finding the part, and watching your video, I placed my order. You shipped it that same day and I should have received the next day. (Fedex Home delivery had 2 exceptions.... common for them)(I live only 40-50 miles from the shipping point. ) I had it installed in less then 15 min. 

At first, water leaked only on the warm cycle. Kept using on hot or cold cycle. Eventually happened on the hot cycle. Finally, even on the cold cycle it leaked. Time to fix it! Researched getting new washer but put off by numerous negative reviews of clothes not getting wet due to 'spray' rinse thus not clean or tub would not fill up with enough water, etc. So after researching parts, finally decided to order injector hose kit. So glad we did! Came within two days! Husband was able to install same day and hooray! No more leaks! Plan to keep 'old' washer for another 10 years, fingers crossed... 

We inherited a 35 year old Maytag washer and dryer when we moved a few years ago. We noticed a foot diameter patch of water on the left side when we used it. After consulting with some youTube videos we decided we had little to lose by attempting to fix the leak ourselves. The parts came quickly. Quick enough that we still had the videos fresh in our minds. The ancient clamps were not as easy to remove as the ones in the video but we replaced the Injector hose kit and the bleach pipe in about half an hour. And now it doesn't leak.
