How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016601 / WPW10189966 Control Board

Repairs were done quickly and easily. As usual, y'all were a great help in determining the problem. It has been a pleasure. Replace the broken parts it took about 30 minutes on the frig and 10 minutes on the washing machine. 

Replaced the Electronic Control Board 

After Googling my washer model and error code, I found several videos on how to fix the problem and where to purchase parts. With a little extra searching, I found there was a distributor with a better price for the part I needed. That distributor was AppliancePartsPros.com. I ordered on line and received the part after only two days, installed it, and my wife is very happy. 

This repair was so simple. I was debating for months trying to decide whether to get the part needed to fix the problem and I was wondering if it would be easy to fix. I watched the video several times and it appeared pretty easy. Although the video did not show my model if was all that I needed to get a great understanding of what I needed. The job was completely done in 12 minutes!!!! WOW!!! 

I replaced the control board. It took care of the issues. 

Removed the original Electronic Control Board and installed the new board. Installation time for new board was fifteen minutes. Ran a normal cycle on washer, no Fi error code with the beeping. Used the Affresh Washer Cleaner Tablet on clean washer cycle, perfect. Wash Machine works like it did when new. The washer repaired Whirlpool Cabrio. 

Replaced the master control board. Very easy, 3 screws to remove the control panel housing, 8 or 9 cables to be disconnected, 1 screw to remove the old master control board, install new master control board, reconnect all of the cables, re-install the control panel housing. total time 30 minutes. The on-line video was very helpful. 

Ordered a Machine and Motor Control (p/n W10189966) and replaced the old part because tub would not spin.
