For Whirlpool Control Board (Part Number: OEM18049812)

Al for Model Number WTW6700TW1

I have a WTW6700TW1 washer. When I start it, after a couple of seconds, it stops and displays an "F1" error code. At this point, I hit the "Power" button to turn it off. I hit it again to turn it on; followed by the "Start" button. After a second or two, it stops and displays "F1". I repeat this cycle up to 10 times. At some point the machine fills and the wash completes. However, it again fails at the rinse cycle. I then power it off again, turn it to the "Rinse & Spin" position and repeat the power and start cycle until the "F1" error fails to interrupt. Does this suggest a part that needs to be replaced or an adjustment that should be made? Thanks for your help.

Al, F then 1 flashes when the control detects an out of range pressure signal. Check pressure hose connection from tub to machine/motor control. Is hose pinched, kinked, plugged or leaking air? If F then 1 repeats numerous times after POWER is pressed and the pressure hose connection is not pinched or kinked, replace the machine/motor control.

David, Have you put the unit into a service diagnostic and checked the unit for error codes. This would be the next step you would want to take.

David, the error 0L is an overloaded error. It would be recommended that the spin basket is rotated by hand to identify if it rotates freely. If it does, the rotor 280146 and stator WPW10419333 would need to be inspected to identify if there is a noticeable failure. If not, the driveshaft and bearing assembly W10435302 would need to be inspected for corrosion.

Linda, as the appliance has been moved, it is recommended that the unit is checked for a proper level, as well as checking the spin basket to see if it rotates freely. If the washer has any obstruction between the spin basket and tub, or underneath the motor where it can create resistance, the washer will send an OL error code.

Justin Kunak for Model Number WTW6200VW0

I have a whirlpool cabrio washer model number WTW6200VW0.I wrote to your not long ago on my washer and i did all your recommended me to do and i am still having problems.my washer starts out good washing and goes into drain cycle and pump drains water then it gets caught in that mood after water finish draining, the tub spins stops and spins other direction and gets on doing that.I was told my unit didnot have a calbriation model on it but it did have a water level transducer recalbriation mode and i did that calbriation.I was also told to check air hose from board to tub and make sure it was good and tight and that was okay.I was told to run the diagnois test also and check for error coded but washer has no error codes.I try and run it through the automatic diagnois test mode and it does good up till it gets to that drain stage it drains tub but even in the mode it locks up and wont let washer go any further and it does not give a error code.On the owners manuel on the washer it says if that happens to start the test all over again.I did that 3 times and with the same results, locks up in the same stage.I have already rebuilt washer i replaced rod kit, shaft and beaaring and seal, rotor and the stator, and the rotor sensor and the basket hub.Alot of those parts were worn out causing the UL code on washer, now the washer does good and no more UL code up until it locks itself up after the drain cycle.I am floored about my washer and dont know what the problem could be.I hope your might have some other ideas i can check on washer.i am wondering if something might be wrong with control board? With all that i have done and checked on,do your think that might be a possibility. Thanks so much for your time,i hope your will be able to shed some light on my problem and help me with my washer.

Justin K, It sounds like you have changed out about all of the mechanical parts and it is possible your control is the issue therefore it is not giving an error. Based on the information provided the changing of the board is the only way left to rule it out.

Rod, it would be recommended that the basket hub W10820039 is inspected to identify if it has excessively worn or broken. The drive shaft W10435302 can be inspected as well to identify if there is any corrosion that may prevent the tub from seating fully.

Bud, it would be recommended that the wires are inspected for any connections that may have come loose at the main control W10393393. If there are no loose connections, the main control will need to be tested for incoming 120VAC an the connection J7. If there is 120VAC, the next step would be to test from the connection J9 pin 3 (black meter probe) to pin 8 (red meter probe) for 13VDC. If there is 13VDC, the user interface WPW10352744 has failed. If there is not 13VDC, the connector J2 will need to be removed to identify if the 13VDC will show up at connection J9 from pin 3 to pin 8. If it does, there is a short in the shifter motor WPW10006355 causing this issue. If the 13VDC does not show up at any point, the main control has failed and would need to be replaced.

Hello Sean, that washer model lid lock is dependent on the lid front coming down correctly to engage the latch assembly, the fault code is for an unlock failure, a misalignment on the lid to latch may cause this code. Check the lid has not warped or twisted and is binding the latch mechanism. If all seems ok then it maybe a faulty main control board, part WPW10189966.

Don, Based on the model number provided our part number {AP6016601} is the rep;acement for the Electronic control board. The new board will replace the control for your model and it also replaces the W10188476...but that don't mean you can cross it backwards due to the mfg upgrades in the replacement. I would recommend using the replacement as it should have the upgrades to take care of some possible prior issues.

Nat, This issue would be caused by a control panel issue if the start button is not working but would recommend putting the unit into a diagnostic mode and see if there is any stored error codes.
