I read that replacing the latch may prevent my Maytag Dishwasher from stopping mid-cycle. I decided to also replace the latch-switch since I had it open. For my model, I only needed to remove the top 6 torx screws not the whole internal panel. Replaced the switch and latch in about 20 minutes (since I had never done this, I took it slow and easy). Everything has been working great since then. Note: for my dishwasher, I didn't need to purchase the handle that goes on the latch, it was included in my latch purchase. This was easier than I thought.
