How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5985148 / W10822259 Condenser Fan Motor

Followed instructions. Not as easy as in your video - more screws (in more difficult positions) to remove frame containg fan. BUT your delivery resonse was unbelievable! - ordered one day online around 3.00pm, received next morning fedex around 10.00am. Doesn't get any better! 

Opened back panel and noticed the fan was stopped. Unplugged the fridge and the fan was very hot to the touch and did not spin freely. I was able to remove the fan and get to run for a day by freeing up the motor. It quit after a day - and bought this one online. Was easy to replace and now the fridge is much cooler. 

Replaced it. 

I ordered a new condenser fan motor. I was able to use the blade from the old fan. It was an easy swap. The basic shipping, which only took two days, made the replacement that much quicker. Thanks alot! 

Fixed problem. Very easy to replace. Arrived quickly. 

And retire clean compressor coil. And replaced the condenser fan motor. Had to tap threads in the motor using screws from the old motor and rewire the plug 

Rear fan motor was not working. I replaced it and followed the instructional video. It was super easy and took less than 30 minutes. While I was there I also cleaned out the undercarriage - so much built up dust and dander that the air was not flowing through the coils. It works like a charm and the cabinet is now cool. I'm sure the refrigerator is working more efficiently, now, too. 

Replaced the fan motor that cools/aerates the compressor. Appliance is functioning as before and hopefully will provide more years of good service. 

I watched the video of how to repair the fridge with the motor I ordered. It was very helpful to know what I was getting into. It was a little cumbersome because you have to lay down and reach in behind and loosen things up. I test fit the screws in the motor as I realize they are not threaded in the motor. I went ahead and tighten the screws all the way up prior to installing The motor which made it way easier than trying to tap the screws once the motor was under the refrigerator and in the tight area. After that it was very straightforward, I bolted it in after installing the fan on the motor. I pluggged the connector back on the motor and away she went. It is working fantastic now that the motor has been replaced. 

Replaced the condensor fan motor and worked like a charm!
