Brian S Fayetteville , AR February 14, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher GU3600XTRB1 Would fill, heat and drain but not go into wash cycle Ordered a new pump after looking at new machines for $600-$800 and watched the repair video and realized it was a very simple repair. Took the dish machine out of the cabinet on Sunday and removed the old pump. On Tuesday the new pump arrived and I replaced it following the instructions on the video. Was a very easy repair and the machine is working better than ever. It's actually much quieter than it was over the last year. Read More... Chris R Manhattan , KS December 27, 2019 Loud noise when running You know the old saying "NEVER EASY"! Not this time! The description of the problem I read in your comments section was spot on for my situation. The noise when the circ pump was running was loud and unbearable. I watched your how-to video on replacing the circulation pump and ordered the pump for my dishwasher. It came to my door very quickly. I had the old pump out and a new one installed in about 30 min. Ran a load and my dishwasher sounded like the day I bought it. I will be using this site for all my future appliance needs. Great Site! Read More... John L Rochester , NY December 13, 2019 Appliance: Maytag Undercounter Dishwasher MDB8949SAB0 Circulation motor wouldn't run, it would try to start. It would hum for a few seconds then quit I bought a new circulation motor from AppliancePartsPros.com and reviewed their video on how to install it. After removing the old motor, however, I noticed that the chopper assembly that links to the motor shaft was jammed with a chip from a dinner plate. With the obstruction removed, the old motor worked fine. So I returned the new motor for a refund. Thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com for the great information, diagrams, and instructional videos that enabled me to successfully diagnose and fix the problem. I will definitely be returning for all my future appliance repair needs! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Adjustable Wrench, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
Gene B Collingswood , NJ December 03, 2019 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDS01DLSP0 Noisy Kitchenaid circulation motor model #kuds01dlsp0 Replaced circulation motor according to video. It took about two hours including disconnect and reconnect. Upon restoring power at the circuit panel, I discovered only the rinse light illuminated and it would not start. Proceeded with multiple reboots, both shutting off and restoring power as well as hitting certain control panel buttons according to recommendations found on the Internet. I must have gone through the process twenty or more times. About to give up and buy a new dishwasher I started to get more panel lights, usually one at a time after additional reboots. The dishwasher would display a D1 code, seemingly doing a self-diagnosis but still would not start. At one point I pushed the light/china button and it started. I let it run a full cycle. I then ran a normal cycle and a Baked On Cookware cycle. At this point, it's working but I'm watchful. The new motor solved the noise issue. After all, was said and done, I needed a drink! Michael C Pearl , MS November 15, 2019 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDP01FLSS6 Dishwasher was making a grinding noise My KitchenAid dishwasher is 14 years old and no problems until now. It was making a grinding noise that was very annoying while running. In determining what the problem was, the only time that I could hear the noise was when the circulation pump was running, it seemed to reason that the circulation pump was the problem. The circulation pump is the pump that pushes water onto the dishes to clean them. Since dishwashers have two pumps, I was hesitant about this being the problem because my dishwasher was still cleaning the dishes. After finding this website and trying to narrow this down through my troubleshooting efforts of the probable part(s) that I would need, this website was very helpful, in that it let me know that this particular part was the problem most of the time. I called Appliance Parts Pros and the tech was very helpful. He said that the bearings were probably worn and that's what I was hearing. I had Appliance Parts Pros expedite the shipping because I'm a DIY guy with a wife that gets nervous about me finishing a project. I got the part and put it in. PRESTO! NO MORE GRINDING NOISE! It made my wife happy for a minute or two and that was the goal, besides saving a couple of hundred dollars. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros! Read More... Judy C Prescott , AZ November 04, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher DU1101XTPBA Our appliance filled with water but was not spraying, it made a buzzing noise We cleared debris and when that did not work we replaced the pump. The hardest part was finding the correct sized socket set. The video had a different size than what we needed. Extender required on the socket set. Tight space which made it difficult. The dishwasher works great now! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Socket Set
