How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6024038 / WPW10757217 Circulation Motor

Repair went smooth just the repair video it was that easy. 

I checked out your website and learned that it was a sign the circulation pump, the main pump was not working. After watching your DIY video, I realized I could do the repair myself. You shipped the part to me within 2 days and by the end of that day, I had our Kitchenaid dishwasher working again. Thank you again you saved me $850 dollars because a new washer would easily Have cost $1000 Tax included, plus a lot more time and trouble to install. 

Replaced circulation motor. After watching the instruction video, the replacement was very easy. 

My biggest hurdle for this repair was that a porcelain tile floor was laid in front of the dishwasher after it had been installed. This made it impossible to simply pull the unit out without some extra steps. I removed the bottom front panel and retracted the front legs completely, but I also ended up needing to loosen the countertop from the adjacent cabinets to get enough wiggle room to slide the dishwasher out. After that, everything went just as it did in the video, and replacing the circulation pump was relatively easy. I especially like the fact that the video tells you exactly what tool will make the job easiest - very helpful! The dishwasher is now running smoothly and all is well! 

Ordered a replacement pump motor and replaced it using the video instructions as a guide. Other than a few problems encountered caused by an original nonstandard installation, the task went without complications. Instructions were very clear and results are as expected. 

Replaced the motor. 

I watched the video prior to replacing (imagine that!) and it went almost as easily as the pro made it look. The old pump/motor took a little effort to remove, it was the original and the gasket was stuck but popped out with some elbow grease. The dishwasher sounds 100% better and not like a jet engine about to take off. 

Ordered the part, watched the video, installed exactly as expected, only my dishwasher did not have the support bar. Dishwasher is now as quiet as new. 

Video helped a great deal in order to see how the parts are accessed. The replacement was actually easier than video because I discovered that there is enough slack in electrical, water supply and drain hose to pull dishwasher out and turn over for access to the motor without disconnecting them. I also took the opportunity to oil the door hinge assembly since I had access to it which greatly improved the squeakiness and ease of use.
