How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006265 / WP22002119 Wax Motor

Removed cover panels over door lock system (two screws!) then replaced motor-wax and spin enable switch. The job was easy and only took 30 min. Washer is working normally so far. 

New wax motor 

Replaced the Wax-Motor. 

Once it was determined the parts I needed to solve the problem I ordered them. They arrived as promised. The hardest and what took the longest was getting the old wax motor out. Once replaced the board was easy. Plugged machine back in and ran a test load. Works just like before. 

Did a couple of Google searches and found one that matched my situation. The video showed that location R13 on the main processing was burned. This was an indicator that the door lock was bad. So, a ordered a new door lock and main processing board. 

Removed power cord from outlet. Replaced locking latch motor by removing door hinge 2 dcrews oc cabinet and same on opposite side used for door reversal and removed front panel by pulling top left and right corners away from unit then removed left and right screws holding the top hooks. Removed 4 screws from under dispenser cover removed it and raised main top to access latch assy. Removed the far left metal clip gently with needle nose pliers that was holding wax motor in place, swapped wax motors reversed process. All working fine. 

Replaced the original door wax motor on the machine. Make sure when you replace it to spread the spring out and push the wax motor all the way to the right, otherwise the door lock light switch and the spin switch won't activate. 

Replaced wax motor and door seal. Video instructions very helpful.
