Tj March 21, 2018 for Model Number KGRT507FWH1 I bought this ignitor for my KitchenAid oven (KGRT507FWH1) because it is listed as the part for this model, but when I went to replace it, I found that the existing ignitor does not have have the extension off the back of the metal part. It looks like the existing igniter is part # AP6013906 and that part also says it is compatible with my oven. Since this igniter is longer, the end where the wires come out sticks into the back of the oven, but it does fit without hitting anything (there is some cotton-like insulation back there). My question is whether it is safe to use this igniter (AP6013893) as a replacement for AP6013906. Thanks!
1 Answer TJ, The unit will use both of the igniters. The WP9782065 will be for the broil and the WP9751123 is showing as the bake igniter. Read More...
Donna December 30, 2016 for Model Number SF385PEWN0 igniter for bake glows but no call for gas. Low voltage maybe? Finding confusing part numbers. I have been told by Sears # WP9751123 but also found 814269 and 816624. Can't afford a new range so really would like to fix this one. Already missed Christmas baking. Lol not good!
1 Answer Hello Donna. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Anthony February 26, 2013 for Model Number Kitchenaide kgrt507 I replaced both igniters in this stove and the oven works fine but the broiler still just glows and doesn't open gas valve so burner will light. Gas smell also comes through vent on top of oven. Is there something else I need to check?
1 Answer Hello Anthony. Based on the information you provided, the valve assembly WP9755424 is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Phil July 20, 2011 for Model Number sf365beyw2 What's the difference between this and part number AP2934763?
1 Answer Hello Phil. For your model number we recommend that you use for the broil part # WP9751123 and for the bake use 814269. The parts could have a difference in amperage and will not be compatible with the valve. You can try the ignitor you asked about to see if it's compatible.
