How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005882 / WP2161491 Meat Pan Cover Frame

I had tried to glue it back, it came off again. So, I ordered a new one from AppliancePartsPros on Monday, August 17th. It arrived by Fed EX the next day. My husband and I just looked at each other, we couldn't believe that kind of service. We live in the country, 60 miles from a dealer that MIGHT have it in stock. He dropped the new frame in place, slid in the meat pan drawer and that was it. 

Slide out the tray and slide in the new one 

Removed bins and glass plates from veggie and meat trays of side-by-side Kitchen aid refrigerator. Lifted the "old" meat bin tray up, then pulled it out. Reversed the process w/ the new tray part. Perhaps the easiest repair I have ever had! 

Replaced parts 

I ordered a Meat Pan Cover Frame and placed it in my refrigerator. Pretty simple fix!K 

The shelf frame cracked on the outer left hand corner causing the meat draw to dip. Replacing it with the new one was easy. Before starting remove the glass insert and draw. The shelf is supported by four pin like plastic supports in each corner. Only one of these pins lock it in place. On my fridge the one located underneath the shelf left hand side needed to be removed or loosened. This one may be shaped differently then the others. Next tilt shelf upward and slide it towards you to remove. IMPORTANT on the old shelf there is a plastic vent lid that snaps out. You will find this part on the left hand side of frame snapped into a square cutout. Remove and install on the new frame. Note, this lid directs the flow of air into the draw. To install the new one line up the rear supports with the groves in the frame and slide it in backwards and tilt it down. It should now be resting on the three remaining corner supports. Screw in the reaming corner support and snug it tight..Do not over tighten. You're Done 

Ordered the exact part from Appliance Parts Pros. The speed of service was fantastic: ordered on a Wednesday and received on the next Friday. 

I purchased the housing that the roller is attached and put the new housing in the refrigerator. I will mentioned here that I am an experienced refrig mechanic
