How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5985062 / W10811169 Panel-Cntl (Stl)

Took about ten minutes to unscrew the door, pop the old one off and plug the new one in. Before I purchased the part, I literally had a new one in my shopping cart at Costco, then I figured, what the heck I'll try the part. Dishwasher thus far is working great! 

Just take out 4 screws and unplugged wiring harness. 

Went to YouTube and found a video on how to disassemble the control panel for my Maytag dishwasher. I was recommended to your site by an appliance repairman. Your agent help me find the correct part for my model. I received it within 2 days of placing the order (Very impressed). It took only 20 minutes to remove the old panel and replace it with the new panel and now I have clean dishes. To be honest, there was a slight problem trying to get the clips on the dishwasher to align with the control panel. Other than that...I saved lots of money.

Relatively easy to remove old panel, be careful not to snap plastic retainers when snapping new panel in 

The part arrived very quickly and it was an easy install. I coated the ribbon cable with silicone as there is a design flaw in the Matag dishwasher. AppliancePartsPro.com did a great job and would use again in a second!! You need a star head tool to remove the dishwasher front. 

I removed faulty control panel with Allen key. Then removed some screws to dishwasher cover but not all, just enough to allow me to reach in and attach electronic sheath. After making the electronic connections, I snapped panel back in. 

REPLACED CONTROL PANEL 

Tried swapping out control board first but didn't work. Control panel ended up being the issue. Wires on defective part looked like they had fried. Works like a gem now!
